JBT Corporation celebrates New York Stock Exchange listing

On Aug. 4, John Bean Technologies (JBT) Corporation rang The Opening BellSM at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to celebrate its Aug. 1 listing. The Chicago-based company began trading on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “JBT” following its spin-off from FMC Technologies, Inc.

The ringing of The Opening Bell represented the final step of JBT Corporation’s spin-off process and marked an initial step in the history of its new company and business segments, JBT AeroTech and JBT FoodTech. Charlie Cannon, president, chairman and chief executive officer of JBT Corporation, was accompanied by company executives and Duncan L. Niederauer, chief executive officer of NYSE EuronextSM, on the bell podium.

JBT AeroTech appoints executive officer

John Lee has joined JBT AeroTech as vice president and division manager. Most recently, he served as president of Carrier Refrigeration, North America, based in Farmington, Conn., U.S.A., a $700 million business unit of United Technologies Corporation, based in Hartford, Conn. Lee worked for United Technologies for 15 years and served in a variety of leadership roles within its Carrier, Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky Aircraft business units, including assignments in China, Korea and Singapore. Previously, he held marketing and strategic planning positions with Northrop Grumman Corporation, based in Los Angeles, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation, now owned by The Boeing Company, based in Chicago. Lee also served as an officer in the U.S. Army. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Mass., U.S.A.
