JBT Corporation to Provide Baggage Handling System Operation and Maintenance for Miami International Airport
Chicago, June 13, 2007 - JBT Corporation (NYSE: FTI) announced today that its Airport Systems Division has received a notice to proceed from the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners to provide maintenance and repairs on automated baggage handling systems at Miami International Airport (MIA).
The three year contract has a revenue value of approximately $25 million. Additionally, the contract provides an option to extend the term for two one-year increments, valued at approximately $6 million per year.
The scope of service includes the operation, maintenance and repair of the baggage handling systems and related equipment for Concourse F and the new South Terminal. This is the first maintenance contract for FMC Technologies at MIA.
MIA is a major gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, the largest US airport in terms of international loaded and unloaded freight, and the third largest in terms of international passenger throughput in North America.
